Lou Rudd brings us news from the Amundsen team’s 10th day of the race. The guys walked 8.7 nautical miles today, their best distance yet by a slim margin as the weight of food carried slowly lessens. We hear about poor Lou’s heels, some “drastic” modifications to footwear, and which type of horse Henry is most like.

Today’s report from the tent-bound Scott team comes from leader Mark Langridge. Unfortunately, with the storm that came up yesterday still in full flow, Mark, Vic and Kev have had no choice but to stay in their tent and wait for it to pass. Mark reminds us that Scott too was tent-bound for a number of days. We all hope they each brought a good book!
