    Mark,

It has been such a long time since we had that weekend at yours before P Coy, I knew from the first time we met that you were destined for great things. I wish you and the rest of the guys all the best and god speed, let’s not leave it so long to catch up a couple of pints of Guinness is what we need or so we thought 25 years ago.

    All the best

    Jim

  4. Mark, Vic.

Training now complete, and went better than expected. Some adjustments for next time but all looking positive – 105 finished. Lets hope that half of them don’t crash and burn on day 1 in January!

    Paul,

I know you cant see this out there in the great whiteness of the Polar region but we are following your journey daily and listen to the reports avidly and with no small measure of awe. Over half way now and its good to hear you have not lost your sense of humour, Katie and I particularly enjoyed the top ten ailments! Hannas letter from home was lovely to read and I must say even Bentley looks like he is missing you! We will continue to check in daily on the final 50% and wish you all ongoing good spirits and luck. I have no doubt you have all been tested and will continue to be tested to your limits but I know you will overcome this and achieve your goal! Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a South Polar New Year!

We met you on a Sunday night in November at the Broccolino restaurant in Punta Arenas. We spoke about your coming out to our place in Río Verde (an hour outside of Punta Arenas) for a lamb barbecue upon your return. It wasn’t the wine talking! Do shoot us an email (lascharas[at]gmail.com) upon your return so that we can make arrangements. We wish you much success and safe travels!

Hi all down south. Just to wish you all well from the welfare staff. Thank you for your message of thanks. I would just like to mention Mark who has been the driving force in fund raising from our christmas functions. He has now collected over £1000.00 towards your worthy cause.
